Volunteers at Oplan Make a Difference

About a few weeks ago, our country was struck by the Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) and a lot of provinces were extremely affected by its blow especially Eastern Visayas region and the other provinces where it made landfall.

We’ve seen on the news both on television and internet how great the damage and devastation that this storm had left in these provinces. Almost all the countries in the whole world express their sympathy over our country and aids from different countries and organizations came and extend their help to our country.

Private sectors and local government

in different parts of the Philippines also made an effort to help out our countrymen by means of organizing relief drive programs. One of them is the Oplan Make a Difference which is organized by the Provincial Goverment of Quezon handled by the Quezon Provincial Information Office for the benefit of the victims of Typhoon Yolanda in Tacloban City and nearby towns and provinces.

This relief operation program aims to collect donations from all over Lucena City as well as its nearby towns. They also called out the attention of the people who are willing to be volunteers in repacking the goods that were donated for easy distribution once it was transported there. We, at lucenahin.com.ph also took part on this activity by giving out some donations and lending out a helping hand during the repacking process.

Here is a video clip made by the Quezon Provincial Information Office, taken during the Oplan Make a Difference:

The in-kind donations that were collected are four (4) 10-wheeler trucks consisting more than 15,000 family packs of goods. All of these were shipped to Tacloban City last November 18, 2013.
