Featured Lucenahin Myranil Villanea: Cook-off Eden Cheese Challenge

Cooking for me is a passion, so when I was younger, I used to watched my father and mother cook.

One time, I was entrusted to cook our “ulam,” then an unexpected visitor came. She liked what I had cooked and I was overwhelmed by her knowing that she is one of the Philippines’ finest chefs. Since then, nahilig na ako sa pagluluto.

In college, I took up BS Hotel and Restaurant Management at St. Anne College Lucena kung saan mas na-develop ko pa ang skill ko sa pagluluto.

Maliban sa pagluluto, whenever I have free time, uma-attend ako sa Zumba sessions.

Luckily, isa ako sa tatlong nabunot to join the Cook-off Challenge and I was blessed dahil tinanghal akong champion.

Then I was surprised to learn na simultaneous pala yung activity ng EDEN kasi hindi ko siya ini-expect. Lahat ng nanalo sa Cook-off Challenge sa iba’t-ibang parte ng Pilipinas ay nagsama- sama para sa isang Grand Cook-off Challenge which was held in Manila last October 2015.

During the Grand Cook-off, I did “Nilupak na Kamote” or “Sweet Mashed Cassava” dahil kilala tayong mga taga-Quezon na masarap magluto ng mga kakanin, and I was so proud to cook that dish as my masterpiece.

Unfortunately, hindi ako ang nanalo as overall champion, but I still I feel blessed and thankful to represent Quezon and having experienced such an amazing opportunity.

Joining the Eden Cook-off is one of a kind experience. As what I’ve said, I was very blessed and thankful dahil hindi naman lahat ay nabibigyan ng ganoong opportunity, most especially ang chance to do a commercial sa isang prestigious station.

When it comes to cooking, do not be afraid to experiment with something new. “Just cook the way your family loves it.” :)

Lucenahin Collections – Evangelion Action Anime Figures

Lucenahin Collections is a compilation of collector profiles featuring their stories and their collections from books, magazines, and clothes to action figures, trading cards, and stuffed toys.

Hi, I’m Jandie Villanueva and I am fond of collecting anime action figures! ^_^

Can you provide a brief description of your collection for us?

My collection is composed of action figures of my favorite characters from different animated series.

When did you start collecting anime action figures?

How long have you had an interest in anime action figures? How did that come about?

On the year 2003, when I was on my third grade in elementary, nakakita ako ng figure na Evangelion, and that time, hindi ko na talaga pinalampas pa ang pagkakataon.

Do you have any favorites among your collection?Evangelion

Are there many clubs related to collecting anime action figures out there? Where can you find people with similar interests?

How do you take care of your collection?

What is your biggest regret when it comes to collecting?

As a collector, malaki ang naging panghihinayang ko noong may nag-offer sa akin ng 5 pieces of Evangelion figures sa murang halaga, tapos hindi ko nabili. Hanggang ngayon dinadamdam ko pa din iyon. Aist! :/

Where would you advise people to start in, if they want to collect the same?

Lucenahin Collections – Spongebob Squarepants

Lucenahin Collections is a compilation of collector profiles featuring their stories and their collections from books, magazines, and clothes to action figures, trading cards, stuffed toys, etc.

Can you provide a brief description of your collection for us?

Hi! I’m Maria Ammirah Ectoso and I love Spongebob Squarepants. 😀

How long have you had an interest in Spongebob collectibles? How did that come about?

I started when I was still a kid. I know some people keep saying that these stuff are just for kids, but who cares? I’m still young and no matter what age I’d be, I would always look forward to having more Spongebob Squarepants collectibles. Hehe. :))

When did you start collecting Spongebook collectibles?

Nag-start akong mangolekta ng Spongebob collectibles noong 3rd year high school ako, and up until now, hindi ako nagsasawang mangolekta. Hindi ko sigurado kung bakit, basta simula lang noong nagustuhan ko siyang i-collect, unti-unti kong na-appreciate lahat ng Spongebob Squarepants items, at kahit na maliit pa yan, basta si Spongebob Squarepants iyan, I’d still keep that.

How large is your current collection?

As years passed by, sobrang lumaki na ang collection ko hanggang sa, honestly, hindi ko na sila mabilang. Haha! 😀

How do you take care of your collection?

I take good care of them by placing them in my bedroom, at naku, nagagalit talaga ako kapag nadiskubre ko na may nawawala sa collection ko! Noong nawala nga iyong Spongebob Squarepants scarves and towels ko, sobra akong nalungkot at nanghinayang, kaya naman I learned my lesson. From that moment, I said to myself, “It’s my private property kaya walang pwedeng humingi.” 😛

These days, I have also been fond of Teddy bears like my very own “Yhoune at Yhisha” which are my favorites. Lagi ko silang katabi sa pagtulog. They comfort me every night.

Are there many clubs related to collecting Spongebob collectibles out there? Where can you find people with similar interests?

I’m not quite sure if there are clubs or organizations of Spongebob Squarepants collectors kasi sabi nila wala naman daw utak si Spongebob Squarepants, pero ako, ipinaglalaban ko talaga. Haha! XD

What advice would you give to people who are also interested in starting their own collections?

To all Spongebob Squarepants lovers out there like me, don’t mind what people would say about your hobby. As long as you’re happy with it and you enjoy collecting them, just continue buying. Pero syempre, dapat maging aware din tayo sa sarili natin, especially about the thing known as “collector’s addiction” which I, myself, is guilty of although I am learning to control my spending habit now. :)

Lucenahin Collections – Makeup, Shoes, Bags Items

Lucenahin Collections is a compilation of collector profiles featuring their stories and their collections from books, magazines, and clothes to action figures, trading cards, and stuffed toys.

Hi there! My name is Imeeh Ismeralda and I’m a certified kikay that has a shoe, bag, and make up collection.

Can you provide a brief description of your collection for us?

My collection is composed of girly stuff such as shoes, bags and makeup items.

When did you start collecting bags, shoes, and make up products?

I started collecting when I was in college.

12299111_10207490926887967_6756269905626802951_n

How long have you had an interest in bags, shoes, and make up products? How did that come about?

I’ve always been “kikay” so maybe that was the main reason, although I am also a make up artist so I need to have heaps of makeup products for work. I started different make up products as a hobby, but I eventually began using them accept commissioned work, mostly for weddings.

How large is your current collection?

My bags, although they are not all high-end, branded ones, probably total to about 50. Haha!

For my shoes, sandals to doll shoes to boots to heels, there are near a hundred.

My make up collection, though, is constantly changing because I am now using it as an artist, but if we really have to count, maybe about 100.

Do you have any favorites among your collection?

For my bags, my favorite is the Secosana pink and white hand bag. For my shoes, it is the red stilettos from Christian Siriano and my pumps from Primadonna.

Are there many clubs related to collecting make ups, shoes, or bags out there? Where can you find people with similar interests?

I don’t actually know if there are any clubs. Maybe for shoes.

How do you take care of your collection?

I took care of them through continuously cleaning them, putting them in cabinets or boxes.

Where would you advise people to start in, if they want to collect the same?
I advise them to think about what they actually like first because as a collector, you need passion and patience. Start from the less expensive ones then step up gradually.
