Lucenahin Collections – Anime Action Figures

Lucenahin Collections is a compilation of collector profiles featuring their stories and their collections from books, magazines, and clothes to action figures, trading cards, and stuffed toys.

Hi! I’m Hanna Nishikawa and I love anime action figures.

Can you provide a brief description of your collection for us?

My collection is composed of action figures of my favorite characters from different animated series.

How large is your current collection?

Currently, I have 46 figures..

How long have you had an interest in collecting anime action figures? How did that come about?

I started collecting them when I was 18-years old because I have been an avid fan of Japanese anime since I was a child. I used to collect pictures and anime goodies, then I got hooked on collecting figures which are tangible and feels comforting to a crazy fan like me.
Do you have any favorites among your collection?

My favorite figure is the 12-inch Kuroko Tetsuya with detachable jacket which is the most expensive one

How do you take care of your collection?
At least once a month, I carefully brush away the dusts on my figures. I don’t let them get exposed to sunlight which may affect the color of the paint, and I don’t let them get wet.

What is your biggest regret when it comes to your collection (like an item you missed)?

I don’t regret starting my collection because I know my limitation as a collector. I’m not a compulsive buyer. If there is a figure I want, I save up for it.

Are there many clubs related to collecting anime action figures out there? Where can you find people with similar interests?

I think there are lots of clubs or groups that are into the same hobby which are mostly online, but I don’t belong to any.

Where would you advice people to start in, if they want to collect the same?

To those who want to start collecting, I would suggest online transactions than buying in mall stores. Malls and online shops provide the same quality of figures but you can usually get better deals online. Buying figures in sets is also less expensive. Just carefully look for a legitimate shop and enjoy! 🙂
