Lucenahin Collections – Evangelion Action Anime Figures

Lucenahin Collections is a compilation of collector profiles featuring their stories and their collections from books, magazines, and clothes to action figures, trading cards, and stuffed toys.

Hi, I’m Jandie Villanueva and I am fond of collecting anime action figures! ^_^

Can you provide a brief description of your collection for us?

My collection is composed of action figures of my favorite characters from different animated series.

When did you start collecting anime action figures?

Nagsimula ang lahat noong 7-years old ako noong mapanood ko sa TV ang anime series na Neon Genesis Evangelion way back 2000. Namangha ako nang husto sa mga character na robot/alien/angel/clone na EVA. Sa puntong iyon, gustong-gusto ko na magkaroon ng replika o figure ng Evangelion, pero that time kasi hindi ko pa kayang bumili, especially because those action figures are very rare in provinces.

How long have you had an interest in anime action figures? How did that come about?

On the year 2003, when I was on my third grade in elementary, nakakita ako ng figure na Evangelion, and that time, hindi ko na talaga pinalampas pa ang pagkakataon.

Ginalingan ko sa pag-aaral kapalit ng figure na yun bilang parte ng kasunduan namin ng mga magulang ko. Hindi man kadamihan ang mga joint ng first ever Evangelion figure ko, sobrang saya ko na noon.

Do you have any favorites among your collection?

Pinakapaborito ko sa lahat ng collection ko ang LMHG o Limited Model High Grade na

Unit 2 Evangelion. Marami itong flexible joints at na-o-open rin ang hatch kaya sulit na sulit! 😀

Are there many clubs related to collecting anime action figures out there? Where can you find people with similar interests?

May mga kakilala ako na nagko-kolekta rin ng action anime figures na gaya ko.

Kalimitan mga artist/otaku rin sila gaya ko. Kaya naman nagkakausap-usap kami tungkol dito.

How do you take care of your collection?

Ingat na ingat ako sa mga anime action figures ko na tipong hindi ko sila binubuksan at alaga ko rin ng punas ang kahon na lalagyan nila.

What is your biggest regret when it comes to collecting?

As a collector, malaki ang naging panghihinayang ko noong may nag-offer sa akin ng 5 pieces of Evangelion figures sa murang halaga, tapos hindi ko nabili. Hanggang ngayon dinadamdam ko pa din iyon. Aist! :/

Where would you advise people to start in, if they want to collect the same?

Kaya para sa mga nagbabalak dyan na mag-kolekta rin ng anime action figures tulad ko, dapat disidido talaga kayo at dapat matuto kayong maglaan ng oras sa paghahanap ng mga ito via the internet man o sa malls, at syempre ihanda ang bulsa! 😛
